Thornes the solicitors hold regular dress down days with staff paying a monthly amount for the privilege.  They also hold other regular fund raising activities. We are delighted that they support Give Us A Break and are their Charity of the Year for 2017.


Give Us a Break is proud to say that we have been chosen for Boundary Mill Stores Charity of the year 2017. The staff will be fundraising throughout the year and they will have collection tins at the checkouts. We will be presented with a cheque at the end of the year!

Each year, The Friends of the Music School fund raise for a local charity. Raffle ticket money and ‘Charity Week’ collections are added together and a local charity chosen to receive any monies raised over the year. Thanks for their help in 2016. and they are also donating to us in 2017! So a big thank you to them!

Cash for your Community

We are very pleased to tell you that in 2016 give us a break came 20th out of 150 groups who were token collecting for cash for your community in the express and star. We collected over 6000 tokens which is a fabulous achievement!!!

Many more thousands of tokens were collected in 2016 than 2015 overall making the amount per token less. On December the 5th  we collected our cheque for £377.02 at a special presentation at Bescot Stadium for the top 20 groups and we will be in Wednesdays newspaper!!
